Severn Valley Railway

The Railway operates full-size, mainly steam-hauled passenger trains for sixteen miles along the beautiful Severn Valley between Kidderminster, Bewdley and Bridgnorth.

Soak up the splendour of a bygone age as you travel in one of our comfy historic carriages dating from 1912. All have been lovingly restored to their former glory by  enthusiastic volunteers.

Discover our reserve collection of steam locomotives, themed exhibitions and well-stocked gift shop at The Engine House Visitor Centre at Highley. Take in superb views along the Severn Valley, enjoy our outdoor play area and make time for a bite to eat at the Flag & Whistle Food Stop.

Be welcomed by our dedicated volunteers, whose key aim is to preserve our unique heritage for your enjoyment and that of future generations.
